Instagram is testing out ‘Following’ lists generated by the app itself which takes users you follow & places them into categories such as ‘Art’, ‘Comics’ & ‘Travel’ based on your activity.

Included in these lists are categories such as ‘Least interacted with’ & ‘Most shown in feed’, which suggests profiles that you may want to potentially unfollow as your account activity has shown lack of interest in their posts or the accounts have become inactive.

Ultimately this would enable Instagram’s algorithm to recognize user’s interests to better manage the content showing up in their feeds.

Discovered by reverse engineering expert @WongMJane, it is currently unclear as to whether or not this feature will ever be put into play.

So, is this a feature that you would utilize & like to see Instagram enable? Let us know below!
