Is Facebook’s new logo SCREAMING at you? Facebook just released a new company branding image to help differentiate itself from the various apps that the company it owns & the internet’s response is quite entertaining.

Nicole Gallucci over at Mashable put it nice, “instead of Facebook it will be FACEBOOK. Think regular Facebook, but thicc, screaming, & bloated, with essence of boomer.”

Here’s the explanation from Facebook: “We’re introducing a new company logo & further distinguishing the Facebook company from the Facebook app, which will keep its own branding. The new branding was designed for clarity, & uses custom typography & capitalization to create visual distinction between the company & app.”

“People should know which companies make the products they use. […] Today, we’re updating our company branding to be clearer that these products come from Facebook. We’re introducing a new corporate logo & further distinguishing the Facebook company from the Facebook app, which will keep its own branding.”

It appears that this move may have been done to alleviate the politicians & regulators who are currently calling for a break-up of the company in order to reduce the social media giant’s power.

Immediately & naturally along with this change, came the tweets & memes rolling in heavy (below) 😂

What do you think? Do you like FACEBOOK’s new look or do you prefer not to be yelled at through a “boomer” style text when signing on to your favorite social media platforms?
